About

Pink Possum Studio is a queer, Latinx-owned small business based out of Asheville, NC. Every piece is handmade in the mountains from upcycled, often vintage textiles. Think of us as your one-stop shop for totally unique, one-of-a-kind, sustainable slow fashion pieces to elevate your wardrobe!

I made my first quilt at eight years old, tiny legs stretching to reach the pedals of my mom’s sewing machine. Since then, crafting has been my lifelong obsession: quilting, crochet, embroidery, weaving… you name it, I’m making it. As I got older, I became fascinated by vintage quilts I’d find at thrift stores and garage sales. Seeing all the hours of care that had gone into pieces now overlooked, I wanted to give them a new life, turning forgotten treasures into wearable, modern pieces and keeping them out of landfills. Along the way, I fell in love with making clothing I actually believe in.

Sure, there are a lot of quilt coats and upcycled clothiers out there. What makes Pink Possum Studio different is our focus on inclusivity. We make pieces for all shapes and sizes, gender-neutral silhouettes, and keep our pricing accessible so everyone can join in. I don’t make anything I wouldn’t want to wear, which is why you’ll most often see comfortable, oversized fits and pastel, feedsack patterns.

When I’m not sewing, I’m probably hanging out with my dogs, reading in the sun, obsessing over my houseplants, playing cozy video games… or sewing again.
